Full Time Employment
- EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - The Medinah Park District's Board of Commissioners invite qualified candidates to apply for the position of Executive Director. Applicants should be of high moral character, demonstrate ethical standards, promote a cooperative work environment, provide motivational leadership and have a proven record of accomplishments.
The minimum qualifications for this position are: 1) possess a bachelor's degree in parks and recreation administration, public administration, finance, or business from an accredited college or university; 2) have achieved 10 years of responsible management and operational experience in a park and recreation environment or related field; 3) be a certified park and recreation professional (CPRP); 4) possess a clear vision and goals for the agency's future and be able to communicate such vision to the Board, staff and community; 5) possess sound business acumen focusing on fiscal management, capital projects and alternate revenue sources; 6) experience with comprehensive long-range planning and the ability to assess community needs and wants; (7) have knowledge of park and recreation trends, personnel management and creative financing; 8) excellent written and oral communication skills and 9) be able to collaborate with community organizations, local governments and the business community.
Reporting to a five (5) member elected Board of Commissioners, the Executive Director runs the day-to-day operations of the agency administering the policies adopted by the Board. He/She provides direction, leadership and general administrative oversight of the District.
The Hiring Range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000.

- Recreation/Facility Operations Supervisor - Contact Supt. of Recreation Jim Huetson at 630-893-2560 for a full job announcement and job description. The Park District is accepting applications until the position is filled. Applicants will be required to provide a letter of introduction, complete resume and three (3) professional references. Interested candidates should have a minimum professional background of 1-2 years in park and recreation administration or field closely associated with same. Salary level is $40,000 - 43,000/year with additional benefits. The primary responsibilities associated with this position include the creation, development, administration and evaluation of youth and adult athletics, special events, teen and adult programming, fitness/health programming and oversight of the operations of the Connolly Recreation Center.
- Park Specialist I - Contact Supt. of Parks Vince DeGrado at 630-893-2560 for a job announcement and job description for this permanent part-time position. The Park District is accepting applications until the position is filled. Applicants will be required to submit a letter of introduction/interest, application and two (2) references. Interested candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of pertinent park maintenance experience. The position is primarily responsible for the day to day maintenance and care of the Park District's park lands, buildings and facilities in accordance with the general policies established by the Park District. This is a permanent part-time, non-exempt, non-union position.
Seasonal/Part-Time Employment
- Part-time evening and weekend Building Supervisors.....the Park District is always accepting applications for year round part-time building supervisor positions. Approximately 8-12 hours per week. Work involves Connolly Recreation Center facility supervision, front desk/registration duties, light custodial and rental set up/take down responsibilities and District special event work. Must be 16 years or older. Positions available until filled.
