Should you miss a particular guide via mail, copies are available at the Connolly Recreation Center or online.
How do I know if I am a resident of the Medinah Park District?
The easiest way is to review your annual property tax bill or statement. The Medinah Park District will appear as one of the local government taxing bodies on your bill should you be a resident. You may also contact us at 630-893-2560 and let us know your particular street address. We will be able to let you know if you are resident based upon your address.
How do I register for a program that is of interest to me or a member of my family?
There are four (4) convenient ways to register for a program:
1. You may bring your registration form directly to the Connolly Recreation Center, 22W130 Thorndale Avenue in Medinah.
2. You may mail in your registration form to the Medinah Park District, 22W130 Thorndale Avenue, Medinah, IL 60157.
3. You may fax your registration form to the Medinah Park District at 630-893-0932. Faxed registrations must include proper credit card payment information.
4. You may register via on-line registration within the district website.
Registration forms can be found at the back of each seasonal program guide, at the Connolly Recreation Center or you may download a form from this website. We accept cash, check, money order or Visa, MasterCard & Discover as payment for program fees, membership fees and rental services. Registration will NOT be accepted via telephone and we do not reserve registration spots without proper payment.
Who can I contact if I have a specific concern or question relating to the Park District?
The staff list at the top of this page will provide a great deal of guidance although general concerns may be addressed to any staff member. Please contact us at 630-893-2560 or stop by the Connolly Recreation Center and we will be happy to help you.
Will I be contacted should a particular program or event be cancelled?
The Park District decides whether a particular program will take place based upon minimum registration numbers. Should a class be cancelled due to low enrollment, all registered participants will be contacted by telephone, or email if you choose, anywhere from 3 days to a week in advance of the program start date. Please be aware that certain programs have special registration deadlines that may require decisions prior to the typical one week notice. The Park District will make every effort to offer an alternative opportunity when available. Otherwise, we will provide a refund or give a credit to your family account.
Why do programs have minimum and maximum registration requirements?
Class minimums are established to make sure programs have enough registration support to justify holding the program. Since most program instructors are paid per class period, running classes with less than the minimum of registrants would force a drain on the financial network of the district. A vast majority of our programs are self sufficient. Maximum numbers are established to maintain the safety and quality of a program. The more students, the less individualized attention. We keep student/instructor ratios low to insure you get what you pay for: a higher quality program. Room capacity and ratios are primary considerations for the maximum number listed.
Can Park District facilities be rented for functions, parties, etc.?
Yes, the Medinah Park District has both indoor and outdoor facilities that can be rented by the hour. Please click on the Parks & Facilities tab at the top of the page and select Rentals for additional information on how to book a facility.
How do I secure a permit to park at the Medinah Metra train station commuter parking lot?
Presently, there is available space for multi-month parking permits or if interested in being placed on a waiting list, please call 630-893-2560 or stop by the Connolly Recreation Center. There is currently no wait time for a permit. Permit parking fees are presently set at $30.00 per month or $87.50 per quarter or $175.00 per six months. During any wait, you may take advantage of the daily fee lot located west of Medinah Road at the train station. The daily fee is $1.50 (cash), $1.75 (credit card) and $2.10 (phone app) and is paid at the automated collection box located on the north platform as you exit the west parking lot. Your parking space number will be entered at the collection box during payment. The Pay App website is via Passport, Inc. with a Zone # of 60157.
