Financial Policies of the Medinah Park District

The Board of Park Commissioners recognizes its responsibility to assure insofar as possible, the financial stability of the district, the maintenance of accurate and accessible financial records, and proper safeguards that protect the financial assets of the district.  This is coupled with a need to operate the services and programs of the district in an efficient and effective fashion, and to not unduly encumber itself so as to impede progress.

Certificate of Achievement

The Medinah Park District was awarded The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its fiscal year ending December 31, 2018 by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).  The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
