Grab your family and friends and head to the Connolly Recreation Center for some summer fun! July is National Park and Recreation Month. Take advantage of our monthly programs and promotions.

Location Connolly Recreation Center/Thorndale Park

Pavilion Rental- includes use of picnic table, electricity, sand volleyball (in season) and ball field (if available). Receive half off your hourly rental Monday-Thursday from 4-9pm. Receive a picnic kit of a volleyball, corn hole set and frisbee for the evening.

Fitness Center Members-For the entire month of July you may bring a guest with you for $1. New annual Members receive $20 off an individual Annual Membership or $15 off an individual 3-Month Membership or $20 for a 1-Month Introductory Membership. Not applicable for renewal memberships.

Open Gym Membership-$10 of an annual membership. Annual Members may bring a guest for $1.

Buy one program get one half off of equal or less value. (Programs don't include summer camp, dance, trips or preschool programs.)

July 1 National Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day @ Thorndale Park 4:00-7:00pm Ice Cream will be for sale by Dairy Queen. Code 224004D

July 6 Family Night Out @ Thorndale Park 6:00-8:00pm. Come play Bingo to win prizes and let's finish the night roasting marshmallows. $5R/$9NR Code 224004E Families are asked to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. Min/Max 20/100

July 15 Summer Evening Picnic in the Park 6:00-8:00pm @ Thorndale Park. Bring your grills or dinner to Thorndale Park and let us supply the activities and dessert for everyone to enjoy! $3R/$6NR Code 224004F Min/Max 20/100

Jul 20 Bike Rodeo 5:30-6:30pm at Thorndale Park (Bike Safety by Roselle Police Department and Bike Checks/Bike Obstacle Course by Friends of Cycling Elk Grove). Everyone must bring your own bike. Code 224004G Min/Max 6/20 Ages 5+

Jul 27 Blind Draw Bags Tournament Ages 21+ 6:00-8:00pm $10R/$18NR Recreational Code 224004H, Competitive Code 224004I Min/Max 12 per division.

Upcoming Events & Programs

The next Regular Board Meeting of the Park District's Board of Commissioners is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 7:00PM at the Connolly Recreation Center, 22W130 Thorndale Avenue, Medinah. The general public is invited and encouraged to attend all Park Board Meetings.

The Connolly Recreation Center's hours for SPRING, 2023: The facility is open to the public Monday - Thursday 7:00am-9:00pm; Friday 7:00am-8:00pm and Saturday 7:30am-12:00pm. The facility is CLOSED on Sundays. Please call 630-893-2560 for ongoing up to date facility hours for the Spring of 2023.
