Park and Recreation Month 2023 (July): We Are Parks and Recreation

Grab your family and friends and head to the Connolly Recreation Center for some summer fun! July is National Park and Recreation Month. Take advantage of our monthly programs and promotions.

Location Connolly Recreation Center/Thorndale Park

Pavilion Rental- includes use of picnic table, electricity, sand volleyball (in season) and ball field (if available). Receive half off your hourly rental Monday-Thursday from 4-9pm. Receive a picnic kit of a volleyball, corn hole set and frisbee for the evening.

Fitness Center Members-For the entire month of July you may bring a guest with you for $1. New annual Members receive $20 off an individual Annual Membership or $15 off an individual 3-Month Membership or $20 for a 1-Month Introductory Membership. Not applicable for renewal memberships.

Open Gym Membership-$10 of an annual membership. Annual Members may bring a guest for $1.

July 26 - Cruise Night at Thorndale Park - Come on down to Thorndale Park for a night of fun. Classic cars will be available to see along with a live concert featuring "Prairie Station". 6:00-8:00pm

Jul 27 - Bike Rodeo 5:30-6:30pm at Thorndale Park (Bike Safety by Roselle Police Department and Bike Checks/Bike Obstacle Course by Friends of Cycling Elk Grove). Everyone must bring your own bike. The event is FREE and is unlimited for attendance.

Upcoming Events & Programs

The next Regular Board Meeting of the Park District's Board of Commissioners is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 7:00PM at the Connolly Recreation Center, 22W130 Thorndale Avenue, Medinah. The general public is invited and encouraged to attend all Park Board Meetings.
The Medinah Park District is currently accepting applications/resumes for a permanent part-time Park Laborer position. Please click on About Us and Employment Opportunities to see the listing and contact information in order to attain pertinent information on this team based position with the District.
The Medinah Park District's regular weekday Administrative Office hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Contact us at 630-893-2560.
The Connolly Recreation Center's hours for SUMMER/AUTUMN, 2023: The facility is open to the public Monday - Thursday 7:00am-9:00pm; Friday 7:00am-8:00pm and Saturday 7:30am-12:00pm. The facility is CLOSED on Sundays. Please call 630-893-2560 for ongoing up to date facility hours for the Autumn of 2023.
