Earth Day Celebration

Come join Medinah Park District volunteers and staff on Saturday, April 20th from 10-11:30am at Thorndale Park for the first annual Earth Day Celebration! Those attending will be able to volunteer their time with a Thorndale Park cleanup, make prairie seed bombs, and enjoy music and other fun Earth Day crafts. The district will also host a recycling drive! Bring your recyclable items from the list below and MPD staff and volunteers will sort the items and recycle them to the proper organizations.
Recyclable items:
Books, school supplies, clothes, toys, small electronics (no TVs or monitors), batteries of all sizes, eye glasses, hearing aids, American flags, vinyl records, keys, inkjet cartridges, dog/can kennels, bicycles and bike accessories, small lamps, and sports equipment.
