Preschool Registration for the 2024-25 School Year
The Medinah Park District preschool program offers your child a comfortable, safe, and fun environment for learning. Our program is semi-structured and focuses on developing socialization, self-confidence, fine and large motor skills as well as pre-kindergarten and kindergarten readiness skills. The Medinah Park District preschool incorporates the kindergarten curriculum from Medinah School District #11 into the program. The children will develop these skills at their own pace through play, craft projects, stories, songs, and special activities. Our main goal is to help your child acquire the joy of learning and attending school. Children must be toilet trained and be the appropriate age by September 1, 2024.
3 year olds: 9:00-11:30am | 4 year olds: 9:00-11:30am.
Registration must be done in person and proof of age is required. A $30 non-refundable deposit is required at time of registration for the 2024-25 school year. Our Preschool program follows the attendance schedule of Medinah Elementary School District #11.

Playschool

Located at the Connolly Recreation Center-Preschool Room
Play School is for the child who is not quite old enough for our preschool program but is ready for social interaction away from mom. Songs, stories, age appropriate craft projects and of course playtime will develop your child’s socialization skills. Children will explore, discover and learn through play and your child will become more comfortable in a “school” environment. Your child does not have to be potty trained; however, no diaper/pullups will be changed during class time. Pull-ups are permitted however, a parent/caregiver must be available to change if needed. A $30 non-refundable deposit is required at time of registration for the 2024-25 school year. Registration fees are paid in three tri-mester payments during the year. *See Preschool payment schedule.

Marissa Nowotarski: Early Childhood Instructor and Coordinator
Marissa has been with the Medinah Park District since 2019, starting as head summer camp counselor and club kindergarten instructor. Marissa has been working with children for over 10 years in various positions ranging from preschool to special education. She has a general education degree with focus on early childhood education and American Sign Language from the College of DuPage. Her main goals are to ensure each child has a fun and safe environment where their individuality is supported and that they have all the tools needed to learn and grow!
